The Seattle Arts Ecology is a year-long exploration of the diverse and interconnected communities of artists, arts organizations, and arts supporters in this area. Who are the visual and performing artists that make up the local community? How does life in Seattle shape their work? We will begin by delving into the Cornish community and move outward into the city at large, developing an understanding of the way artists here work and live and how their worlds overlap.
Please bring your revised memoir with you to Wednesday's class.
Also, please read “Sweet Home” from The Lure of the Local by Lucy R. Lippard in course reader, and post your response on the course blog.
And start thinking about a professional artist in Seattle that you would be interested in interviewing. We will discuss the interview project on Wednesday.
